A survey of initiatives to ensure food safety in Guangdong　Dispatch of specialists Safety of food (Aug. 5-11, 2012)

PREX has joined up with Hyogo Prefecture and Guangdong Province, China, to carry out a JICA grassroots technical cooperation project on the theme of “food safety and security,” an urgent local issue, for a three-year period from the current fiscal year, to mark 30 years of friendly cooperation. Together with working on human-resource development to promote food safety and security in Guangdong Province, the project helps strengthen management and supervision systems by improving the capabilities of government managers and supervisors. In addition, PREX is carrying out a study for the further promotion of efforts to have regular citizens consider food safety and security. In the first mission involving the dispatch of specialists, a team conducted a survey of local conditions from Aug. 5-11.
