Meeting participants again in Mongolia
In July 2015, PREX received a consignment from JICA in which 6 Mongolian participants took part. With the theme of [Management Strategy] visits were made to large as well as small and medium-size enterprises. The group came to observe our company. We explained our situation as a small factory that develops value added products in a niche field. This received a lot of interest.

In early August 2023, I took my summer vacation one week early. I wanted to experience nature and decided to go to Mongolia. Remembering the PREX observation visit 8 years ago, I opened a file of that period and found the name cards of the Mongolian participants and sent an email in English. 3 days later, I received a reply in Japanese! It was from Ms. Oyunchimeg (Business Exchange Division Manager) of the Mongolia-Japan Center for Human Resource Development, saying, “I’m looking forward to meeting you.”
My Mongolia schedule was busy, but I was able to make an appointment to meet him on August 4 (Friday) at the Mongolia-Japan Center for Human Resources. The center is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its opening. Its main activities include business human resource development, Japanese language education and promotion of mutual understanding.

After my observations, 2 other participants, other than Ms. Oyunchimeg, from the 2015 visit to our company arrived and we had a meal together at a nearby restaurant. Ms. Undram is at present a member of the national parliament and is involved mainly in educational affairs.
Company president, Mr. Gana when he visited our company was working in a glass manufacturing company which now has over 100 employees.
Everyone is successful in each of their fields.

Finally, for my visit to Mongolia I learned the song ‘Dorvon Tsagiin Tal ’ (The Mongol Plateau). My wife and I sang it to the delight of everyone.
With this visit, I felt I will meet everyone again.
