Nakano Manufacturing is engaged in built-to-order manufacturing that integrates materials procurement, precision cutting processing and heat and surface treatment and assembly. The company manufactures torque-converter clutches for automobiles, energy-saving equipment and reduction gear devices for the marine industry.
Based on a management philosophy that states, “Aiming to be a first-rate company for creating people, products and companies,” the company promotes “intellectual asset management” that leads to improved performance and corporate value, by grasping and invigorating companies’ strengths (organizational power, human resources, technology, management philosophy, networks, etc., with clients and others). In order to learn about these efforts in the seminars, the company makes it possible for the executives to exchange opinions and also take field trips to production sites, under such themes as management philosophy and human-resource development. The company is planning to develop its business in Vietnam this year. The company was part of energetic exchanges of opinions and information with seminar participants of the Practical Training Business Course of the Vietnam-Japan Center who visited the company in July. Company President Nishijima, who was appointed this year, is in his 30s. Herein lies the secret of this youthful and also growing company, it seems.
