Mr. Phuong participated in the “JICA Vietnam-Japan Center: Practical Training of Business Course” (4th session) in July 2013. He provides services for clients in Japan and the United States as chairman and president of PSH Co., a company on the outskirts of Hanoi that is contracted for 2D and 3D design for metal molds, drafting, reverse engineering, etc. for automotive and home appliance products. After graduating from a university in Hanoi, studying in Germany and launching his company, Mr. Phuong participated in the Practical Training Course. Not only did he learn about Japanese management style, but he deepened his exchanges with Japanese companies and received a large amount of work from them. His days are very busy.
Even after the end of the course, his exchanges with other activities with the training course members remain very active, he held meetings and social events at a rate of around once a month. When PREX members have gone to his locations, he gives them a warm welcome, and our ties are deepened further.
Vietnam is currently attracting the largest amount of attention as a destination for expansion by Japanese companies. PSC is a company with the qualities to take on development and design in a location with such growing expectations. “The human resources that possess the technologies needed by Japanese companies are in Vietnam. I would like to develop new products at low cost and with short timeframes together with Japanese companies,” Mr. Phuong says. “I am actively carrying out information exchanges even now with the people who took care of me during my seminars in Japan, and I’d like to expand our business. I think it would be great if I can expand my circle of friends.”
Exchanges continue even after the end of the Practical Training Courses, such as social events and factory visits, together with other seminar participants. (September 2013, during a visit by PREX staffers)
