New Year’s message from Palestine Ms. Mariam A. A. Ramadan

Ms. Mariam A. A. Ramadan

As the New Year approaches and the current year is coming to its end, it is the ideal time to be thankful for the blessings and achievements of the past year and to look forward for the New Year as a fresh start and a new chance to set and achieve our goals in life. I wish everybody a fresh start in 2018 and a happy new year full of success and happiness.

One year ago, I was nominated on behalf of my company to participate in a country-focused course in Japan related to PV systems promotion in Palestine-my home land, though this wasn’t my first time abroad, Japan so far is the farthest land I’ve ever visited, I have to cross almost all Asia in order to go from its western part where Palestine is to its far eastern part where Japan lies.

The course itself went so well, I’ve learnt so many new things that helped me in my career, and had the chance to make new great friendships from both Palestine and Japan.

The first thing that faces you in Japan is the friendly people with their smiles when trying to help you find your way when you’re lost! The rich history and culture that gathers the originality of the past in line with the creativity of the future; in Japan you can find ancient shrines and castles, Japanese Kimono, green tea parties, traditional dishes like Sushi, and you can find also a well developed people with a very advanced industry and technology.

I’m very grateful and happy to have the chance to go through this experience, and I think that it will be engraved in my memory so long.
