Receiving a Certificate of Commendation from Dong Nai Province People’s Committee for the ‘[Monozukuri] Personnel Training Project in Dong Nai Provence, Vietnam’

On November 29, 2022, we received a certificate of commendation from the Dong Nai Province People’s Committee for the ‘[Monozukuri] Personnel Training Project Phase 2 in Dong Nai, Vietnam’ at the closing ceremony of the project at Dong Nai University, Vietnam.

The project was begun in 2014 to train on-site leaders in understanding 3S as well as basics in safety, Japanese style ‘monozukuri’ (manufacturing) knowledge, and on-site implementation.
For example, courses in organizing curriculum and teacher-training for leaning 3S and safety were conducted for faculty members at Lac Hong University (Faculty of Mechatronics-Electronics), Dong Nai Vocational Training Technical College (Electric and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) Dong Nai University, No.2 Technology and Economics College. The Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA) acted as a place of contact.

For 3 years from 2014FY, this was conducted as a Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) grassroots technical cooperation project, and from 2017FY, it became a part of a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry project with the cooperation of AOTS. Over a period of 4 years, experts were sent 7 times and training in Japan was conducted 3 times. 3S and labor safety courses were established at a university and vocational training college. Since various positive results were achieved, with a budget created by the Dong Nai Province People’s Committee, from 2018 the project developed further (as part of ‘Phase 2’) with one university and vocational training college being added to the project.
