JICA Knowledge Co-creation Program “Capacity Development for Investment Promotion (C)” has begun.

NEWS

Schedule: January 19 – February 16, 2022

Target: 15 government and public sector employees involved in work relating to promotion of investment

Participating countries: Indonesia, Cambodia, East Timor, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Armenia, Georgia

Purpose: Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an important role in a country’s economic development. Within the global economy, it is essential for investment promotion agencies in each country to formulate effective strategies for attracting FDI based on their own industrial policies, and to disseminate this information to investors.

The aim of this program is to enable participants to objectively assess their home country and learn how to formulate strategies based on the correlation between investment promotion and industrial promotion and how to approach and appeal from an investor’s point of view, so that they may apply this knowledge to their duties.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, this year’s program is conducted remotely and on demand.

Persons-in-charge: Okumura, Saga
