Industrial Service Development, a seminar for Ghana (March 28 to April 23, 2013)
PREX has been commissioning this seminar from the last fiscal year in lieu of Fukushima Prefecture, which was damaged in the earthquake disaster. This fiscal year, the first three weeks of the seminar’s total five weeks were implemented in the Kansai region and then in Fukushima from the fourth week on. Twelve seminar participants came to Japan, and they were section-chief level managers from institutions that provide support to small and medium-sized enterprises, such as trade and industry ministries and chambers of commerce and industry. Under the leadership of Mr. Sugimura, a management consultant who served as course leader, the group visited assistance organizations and companies related to “Kaizen” and SME assistance, and they worked on drawing up their action plans.

Participants remember Hideyo Noguchi, who passed away in Ghana.
- The participant stops a manager at a machine tools maker, directly asking him questions.
- Tutoring takes place while the action plans are drawn up. The course leader and participants alike were extremely keen as their seminar accomplishments are directly linked with their plans.
