A friendly roundtable with the PREX alumni association in Myanmar (Jan. 11-17, 2015)
Ms Sakai, staff of PREX, went on a business trip to Myanmar from Jan. 11-17, 2015.
The visit coincided with the fiscal 2104 Myanmar organizational management improvement seminars held locally. These have been sponsored by the Sasakawa Pan Asia Fund, of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, which came to an end in the last fiscal year. Along with grasping the status of the seminars’ implementation, She also visited the JICA Myanmar office and Myanmar-Japan Center and had the chance to hold an exchange of opinions with PREX seminar alumni.
PREX had an opportunity to hold a friendly roundtable with the PREX alumni association on the day before heading home. Ms Sakai was greeted extremely warmly, even though she had never met any of the members in Japan. Everyone now is running their own businesses, and they told her lots of things about what they learned in Japan and the current situation in Myanmar.
- The participants take on the challenge of building a tall tower using only straws, as they work in groups for an ice-breaking exercise.
- Everyone are company managers and were able to take time out of their busy schedules.
