Mr. Luciano participated in the above-mentioned course, which was conducted online from June to July 2022.
The program featured numerous real-time lectures delivered by Japanese universities, companies, and government agencies, along with interactive discussions with participants from the Middle East and Africa.
Despite the time difference – often requiring him to begin as early as 4:30 or 5:00 a.m. in Brazil – Mr. Luciano actively engaged in the entire program.
He also applied for “the Seminar Implementation Support Program for PREX Global Network”, through which he organized two seminars in 2023 and 2024 for Brazilian business executives and stakeholders. These seminars focused on understanding the Japanese market and preparing for export opportunities in connection with Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai.

What is behind this high level of motivation?

As a teenager, Mr. Luciano lived in a neighboring country during the period of conflict and reconstruction due to his father’s work.
He later moved to Germany, where he witnessed the disparity stark contrasts in development, which inspired him to pursue a doctorate in international development studies in Spain.
Over the years, he has contributed to projects across a wide range of countries – from New York to Timor-Leste – through roles in the United Nations and NGOs.
Now back in his home country of Brazil, Mr. Luciano is dedicated to promoting Brazilian exports with a focus on sustainability and poverty alleviation, particularly in the Amazon region.
As part of this mission, he has participated in large-scale exhibitions around the world and currently serving as the Brazilian Pavilion Liaison Officer for Expo 2025 in Osaka-Kansai.
We look forward to continuing collaboration with Mr. Luciano, who has expressed strong interest in maintaining ties with PREX in the future.
