Participants experienced traditional crafts and textile technology in Hokuriku!
Experienced making Mizuhiki at Jiyukajin which develops rare traditional craft in Kanazawa City, Mizuhiki, from decorative products to interior decorations.
Visit the Hokuriku Region at JICA Industrial Development and Promotion Utilizing Local Resources from July 1 to 26. We came in to contact with accessories and interior decorations using Mizuhiki and Notojofu which is said to have 2000 years of history.
Participants highly evaluated those, saying, “Splendid techniques”, “Promote them abroad”, etc.
Visit to YAMAZAKI NOTOJOFU WORKSHOP,INC., a textile manufacturer of Notojofu, a premium woven ramie fabric, which is designated as Ishikawa Prefecture intangible cultural asset.
