We have constructed networks of producers of safe and high-quality maize and seeds for kidney beans. This was done through introducing organizational structure into agricultural cooperatives and through the cooperation of residents of regions. When we implemented these efforts, there were various forms of resistance to change. However, Company President Yokoishi in Kamikatsucho managed to persuade those around home after a 20-year period, and so we are trying to carry out the same kind of efforts. In order to implement the plans, it will be important for us researchers and the organized agricultural cooperatives to possess the same vision. We are actively digging around, as the regions also possess large amounts of milk and other resources, in addition to the seed stocks..
