2nd Chairman of the Singapore Alumni Association appointed
George Wong, president of a corporate consultancy, has been appointed to become the second chairman of the PREX Singapore Alumni Association, after the passing of its first chairman. Mr. Wong’s company provides training, corporate value and consultation services for companies and organizations in and outside of Singapore. In a PREX alumni follow-up activity, PREX members in February 2012 visited local areas, had a meeting with the PREX Singapore Alumni Association and held a ceremony to appoint the new alumni chairman. Many Singaporean business leaders who are members of the alumni association gathered there. They greatly favored Mr. Wong, a consultant, whom they saw as a good confidant and a trustworthy business partner. Within Singapore, there are several small and medium-sized enterprises that have ties with Mr. Wong, and any company there will tell you that, “Wherever there is an industry or company in Singapore, George is there.” So the alumni members were reminded of the important roles he plays. He also has extensive knowledge of Japan and of businesses in the Kansai region. Mr. Wong is a powerful ally for PREX, as he hopes to see more and more mutual exchanges between Singapore and Japan at all levels.
