China, The ever-smiling President (October,2013)

China Ms. DIWU BI RONG President, Shaanxi Weizhi Group Co.

The surname “DIWU” is rare, even in China, and according by what we have heard, it seems to be a very distinguished name. Ms. DIWU BI RONG has long been employed by the Group, and when she came to Japan in 2006 as a participant of a JICA seminar that PREX commissioned, she had been an employee of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Support Center. After she had returned home, we were surprised to learn that she was appointed as the Group’s president. Yet prior to that, a company she launched had in fact enjoyed great success and she was working actively as a president. Once success arrived, people from many other companies wanted her to serve as their president, with many offers coming her way, although she refused them one after another. When the Group offered her the appointment of president, she was in a serious quandary, given that her own company had been expanding so steadily. But as the request came from someone to whom she owed gratitude, she handed over the reins of her own company to someone else and accepted the offer. With her constant smile and convivial attitude, she is loved dearly by all the employees. We really look forward to see how the company will develop under her command. 
With her as president, PREX was asked to hold seminars for executives at her company. PREX has implemented the seminars in Japan in fiscal 2012 and 2013.
