MJC Study trip to Japan

My profession is Software Development and I have been working in that field for more than eight years. During that time, I have been working with Japanese for nearly seven years till now and I found that their management style is very systematic.

My company introduced us that there is an organization named Myanmar Japan Center (MJC) which has the training courses for Business Management and so I joined the MJC Project Management Course. The main purpose for joining that program was to learn more about managerial tasks not only the theoretical knowledge of management but also the concept and idea of how Japanese Managers do.

After the training course, I have been selected as a participant of Study Trip to Japan through different selection processes. During the Study Trip to Japan(Tokyo and Osaka), I had chances to explore and study different sectors such as environmental sectors, business network sectors, industrial sectors, culture & education sectors and HR sectors with Japanese Style management.

As I have expected, I could get a lot of knowledge and experience the actual working style of Japan. What I noticed is about Win-Win-Win consideration as “Sanpo Yoshi” which is already practicing in Japan since far more years ago. It is very similar to the hot topic of today known as CSR and I was really impressed because Japanese people do care about the others and society.

By the home stay program in Osaka, I could also see how the close family groups can support the children and create the happy society. There is one more interesting place called MOBEO Café, the one-stop consultation point for business as incubation office and provide the permanent exhibition hall for the SME businesses.

Based on the experience and knowledge got from the study trip, we initiated to create the MJC Alumni Groups in upper and lower part of Myanmar. And also organized with a group of students to create a place like MOBEO Café in Myanmar with the supporting of MJC to create a business matching environment and share the knowledge including experiences of MJC alumni to other members. And for me personally, I am trying to lead our local company’s training center to promote the HR development by utilizing the Kaizen activities.

To be concluded, the study trip to Japan could give us a lot of idea and encouragement to fill up on what we need.
